Singapore Polytechnic first to offer AI diploma course

It’s a case of preparing them early as Singapore Polytechnic (SP) became the first polytechnic in the country to offer a full-time diploma in applied artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics from April next year.Starting next April, the pioneer batch comprising up to 80 students will learn to apply AI and big data learn to apply AI and big data to solve challenges across industries such as commerce, finance and information technology.

According to Soh Wai Wah, Principal and Chief Executive of SP, the polytechnic aims to produce the next generation workforce that will be able to tap the latest technologies to take Singapore forward.

This diploma programme is diffferent from the specialist diploma in data science, which caters to diploma and/or degree holders.

However, both programmes will receive exemptions for Singapore University of Technology and Design’s Modular Masters in Data Science programme.
