Bushwires are deadly and destructive, causing many to lose their homes and possessions every year. H2O.ai has launched the Wildfire Challenge to get contestants to build AI prediction models to tackle this disaster.
The challenge aims to provide first responders, local leaders, businesses, and the public with new AI applications that can be used to help save lives and property.
Teams of up to five participants are invited to submit open source AI applications that help to predict wildfire behaviour and where they will start to reduce the loss of life and property.
The top 10 submissions will win US$1,500 for their first submission and the top five will receive US$3,000 for their final submission.
It’s a great way to make a difference by using AI technology to fight the fires. Sign up for the challenge at https://www.h2o.ai/wildfire.
