ZTE has officially introduced the ZTE Grand X with Jelly Bean, its latest smartphone with Android 4.1.1 operating system, in Indonesia.
The ZTE Grand X Indonesia launch was the world’s first ever commercial launch of a ZTE Jelly Bean-based smartphone.
The Grand X’s design was inspired by sport cars. The phone has a 1GHz dual-core processor and an IPS panel 4.3-inch screen with QHD (960×540 pixel) resolution. The display delivers better, natural colours compared to AMOLED screens. Furthermore, users can enjoy songs and movies in maximum clarity, thanks to the Grand X’s Dolby ProLogic plus SRS Audio technology.
For users who love to make use of social media photography applications, Grand X provides better performance with its 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash and a range of creative features: Burst Shot, Panorama, Smile detection, HDR and 360-degree camera. Additionally, Grand X also supports dual SIM and dual standby features.
“This is an important first for Indonesia and ZTE,” said ZTE Indonesia Terminal Division Director Susanto Sosilo, “The rapid technological development here is significant in Asia and globally.”
“The global launch of Grand X with Jelly Bean Indonesia makes us proud, because it shows the commitment of ZTE’s R&D and manufacturing in the country,” he added.
Unlike many other devices, the Grand X is factory-shipped and loaded with Jelly Bean OS, so there is no need for users to perform a manual update through complicated ‘root’ or risky ‘flashing’ processes.
The Grand X with Jelly Bean allows customers to enjoy sophisticated features such as Google Now, a voice-recognition assistant that helps with routine tasks, including voice dictation. It also contains Project Butter, the most renowned feature of the Jelly Bean operating system, one that provides a seamlessly smooth and responsive interface.
