End of Uber in SEA

The Uber app will officially cease in Southeast Asia (SEA) on May 8, 2018. This follows the acquisition of its SEA business by rival Grab in March.

Those who have both Grab and Uber accounts will have their information transferred to Grab. According to a Grab spokesperson, Grab will notify users before transferring the data.

Commuters can still use their Uber accounts for countries outside SEA where Uber operates.
