Copywriters, beware! A new tool dubbed “The AI copywriter” by Alimama can generate an astounding 20,000 lines of copy in a second. Alimama is the digital marketing arm of China e-commerce giant Alibaba.

The AI tool, which has passed the Turing test, uses deep learning and natural language processing technologies to learn from millions of top-quality existing samples Alibaba’s e-commerce sites Tmall and Taobao to churn out the text.

According to Christina Lu, General Manager of Alimama marketing, all the content produced by the AI Copywriter is the result of applying deep learning models, trained with large volumes of quality content created by humans.
