SSMC opens S$300m clean room in Singapore

Semiconductor maker Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company (SSMC) has opened a new S$300 million Annex 10 clean room in Singapore.

The 4,400-square metre facility adds 34 per cent more space for automotive wafers production, which could account for up to 60 per cent of the plant’s total output by 2023.

The Annex 10 facility has a host of Industry 4.0 features such as fully automated robots, material handling systems, Internet of Things technology, and big data analytics for better monitoring and efficiency.
