Singapore will have 100 more artificial intelligence (AI) architects and 1,000 more AI developers over the next three years — thanks to the newly-launched Huawei AI lab.Powered by 5G, the facility at Changi Business Park aims to help Singapore boost its AI talent pool and build a local AI ecosytem.
The US$10 million lab will provide a platform for companies, schools and government agencies to test proof-of-concepts, conduct trials and use AI development kits to facilitate research and development (R&D) efforts in AI.
It is claimed to be the first AI lab in Singapore to have 5G capabillities, letting researchers test 5G applications.
