Using a gimbal may require quite a bit of effort and loads of patience. Popular stabiliser maker DJI has just launched the DJI OM 4, which hopefully, will make it more fun and easy to use.

Priced at US$149, the DJI OM 4 is a premium smartphone stabiliser that comes with a highly functional quick-snap magnetic phone attachment system for easier and faster setup.

Users have two options — a sleek, secure and lightweight metal clamp or a  magnetic mount with ring holder that takes the pain out of balancing.

The DJI OM 4’s folding design makes it portable and convenient to bring everywhere. On a full charge, the battery can last up to 15 hours and double up as a power bank.

Supports heavier smartphones

Using upgraded motors, the new stabiliser can now support a heavier weight than its predecessors, making it more suitable for larger smartphones.

“With its new magnetic attachment and folding design, the DJI OM 4 again goes farther so anyone, no matter their experience with gimbals, can pick it up and make content that pulls in the viewer,” said Paul Pan, Senior Product Line Manager of DJI.

The DJI OM 4 package comes with a magnetic ring holder, magnetic phone clamp, grip tripod, wrist strap, storage pouch, and power cable.
