iCandy Interactive has acquired Lemon Sky Studios for US$32.4 million to become the biggest pure-play game developer in Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia.
Building on the growing interest in metaverse, iCandy Interactive and Lemon Sky plans to develop casual and AAA gaming on blockchain for the open metaverse.
iCandy Interactive’s core business is in game development, game publishing, and esports. It is the co-founder of the global esports league and platform, Esports Players League (ESPL) in 17 countries in SEA, South Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Games on its network are played by more than 360 million mobile gamers worldwide.
Founded in 2006, Lemon Sky Studios is a video game and animation studio known for providing innovative visual art solutions for AAA gaming titles such as Overwatch 2, Call of Duty – Infinite Warfare, SimCity, Diablo 3, and StarCraft: Remastered.
Its clients include Blizzard Entertainment, Naughty Dog, 2K Games, Square-Enix, Bandai Namco, Microsoft Studios, EA Entertainment, Disney, and Nickelodeon.
