NTT Data and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have signed a multi-year agreement to help enterprises modernise legacy systems, adopt agentic AI responsibly and scale innovation on the cloud.
The partnership combines NTT Data’s capabilities in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernisation and agentic AI with the scale and breadth of AWS services to deliver tailored solutions for mission-critical workloads.
Under the agreement, the companies will focus on four priority areas: AI-driven large-scale cloud transformation, industry cloud solutions on AWS, AI and data innovation for managed services and customer experiences, and digital sovereignty solutions on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.
NTT Data has created a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned to AWS’s sales and delivery structure, comprising about 11,000 AWS-certified experts, with plans to certify nearly 10,000 more over the next three years.
AWS will support co-innovation programmes, certifications and client events to help enterprises adopt AI-driven cloud solutions more quickly and with greater confidence.
“Through our Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS, we are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI impactfully and responsibly. This collaboration underscores our commitment to deliver secure, industry-specific solutions that create tangible business value for our clients worldwide,” said Abhijit Dubey, President and CEO of NTT Data.
“Through industry-aligned architecture platforms, AI-driven customer experiences, and support in meeting evolving regulatory requirements through the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, we’re enhancing the ability to transform legacy workloads and build modern digital experiences on AWS,” said Greg Pearson, VP of AWS Global Sales.
Industry-specific offerings will target sectors including financial services, healthcare and life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail and energy through NTT Data’s Industry Cloud platform, which features more than 500 extensible business components and AI agents. Examples include modernising core banking and compliance workloads, building secure AI-enabled data platforms for healthcare, and deploying private cloud solutions that meet stringent public sector compliance requirements.
The agreement also emphasises digital sovereignty, with NTT Data becoming a launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud to help European governments and enterprises meet data residency and operational autonomy requirements.
NTT Data will provide sovereign-by-design cloud solutions and managed services that aim to match the security, availability and performance of existing AWS regions while meeting regulatory needs. It will back the new offerings with a full-stack services portfolio — from advisory and cloud transformation to implementation and managed services — while expanding its Smart AI Agent Ecosystem to help enterprises deploy responsible, business-driven AI at scale.
