Sophos has launched the Sophos Fusion AI-native defense platform that connects endpoint, firewall, email, cloud, identity, network and security operations into a single, open architecture.
Built for a threat landscape reshaped by AI, the system is designed to let every control point, data source and analyst operate as one, whether the tools are native Sophos products or third‑party solutions.
“Sophos Fusion is built as a defense system optimised for Human-AI workflows,” said Joe Levy (top), Chief Executive Officer of Sophos.
The system features a unified context lake that ingests signals from across the environment in real time for synchronised security where a threat detected at one control point can trigger coordinated responses everywhere. Leveraging agentic AI, its autonomous agents that can detect, investigate and respond to incidents within boundaries set by human analysts. Based on Sophos’ own operations, the agentic SOC resolves 52 percent of cases without human involvement, with an average alert‑to‑response time of 89 seconds.
Fusion is an evolution of Sophos Central, the company’s existing cloud security platform used by more than 625,000 organisations globally, but re-architected for the AI era and positioned as a broader cybersecurity defense system rather than a traditional suite.
Existing Sophos Central customers are already part of the Fusion architecture, with the user interface gradually rebranded to Sophos Fusion over the coming months.
The initial launch is the first major product outcome of Sophos’ US$859 million acquisition of Secureworks in February 2025 to bolster its security operations and managed detection and response capabilities.
While the core Fusion architecture is live , several modules will become generally available between August and October 2026.
