Huawei’s latest open-ear audio wearable, the FreeClip 2 S, officially launches in Singapore on July 24. Priced at S$268, the launch follows its regional debut at Huawei’s flagship event in Kuala Lumpur last week.
The earbuds will be available for purchase at all Huawei Experience Stores across Singapore, as well as through the brand’s official online channels.
Staying true to Huawei’s signature design, the FreeClip 2 S uses a lightweight C-shaped bridge that clips gently onto the outer ear instead of sitting inside the ear canal. This open-ear style lets users stay fully aware of their surroundings while listening, making it perfect for running, cycling or commuting safely.
Each earbud weighs just 5.1 grams, so users can wear them comfortably all day without any strain. Under the hood, dual 10.8mm diaphragm drivers deliver richer, louder sound that is claimed to be 100 percent higher than the previous generation.
Powering the audio experience is Huawei’s third-generation NPU audio chip, which brings a host of smart features: automatic volume adjustment that adapts to the environment, custom-tuned sound via adaptive EQ, immersive spatial audio with head tracking, and crystal-clear calls even in busy places thanks to multi-channel AI noise reduction.
Users can tweak every setting, manage connections and use handy gesture controls through the Huawei Audio Connect app, which also supports seamless toggling among phones, tablets and other devices, plus the latest Bluetooth 6.0.
Battery life is a strong point with a single charge powerring up to nine hours of playback on the go. With the sleek new charging case, power can be extended to up to 38 hours of use. For those in a rush, just 10 minutes of charging will give around three hours of listening time, enough to make any long commute home.
As for looks, the earbuds and their rounded, jewellery-like case have gone through more than 100 precision production steps, and come in two elegant shades: Deep Sea Blue and Pearl Silver.
At S$268, the FreeClip 2 S sits right alongside popular alternatives from Bose, Shokz, and Samsung but stands out with its advanced AI audio tools, immersive spatial features and eye-catching design.
