SAP has launched in Singapore an AI-Bilingual Workforce Programme to equip more than 3,000 with role-based business AI skills over the next three years, alongside sector-focused workshops to help enterprises identify and activate high-value AI use cases.
Announced at SAP NOW AI Tour Southeast Asia, the initiative supports Singapore’s National AI Impact Programme, which aims to make 100,000 workers AI-bilingual and help 10,000 enterprises deepen AI adoption.

“Singapore’s AI ambitions depend on both people and enterprises being able to move confidently from experimentation to impact,” said Eileen Chua, Managing Director of SAP Singapore. “Through our AI-Bilingual Workforce Programme, SAP is bringing together workforce skills, industry expertise and practical adoption support. This will help professionals apply AI in the functions they know best, while giving enterprises a clearer route to identify, deploy and scale AI use cases that deliver measurable value.”

According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Information’s Senior Minister of State Tan Kiat How (above), programmes such as SAP’s AI Bilingual Workforce Initiative recognise that AI transformation is no longer simply about deploying technology. “It is about helping every professional, whether in finance, procurement, operations, or HR, develop the confidence and capability to work effectively alongside AI. Organisations do not succeed simply because they deploy AI. They succeed because they develop people who know how to use AI to solve meaningful problems. That is what real transformation looks like.”
“That is why Singapore’s response cannot simply be to adopt AI faster. We must also become better at developing people. If AI changes how expertise is built, then we must rethink how expertise is developed,” he added.
The SAP programme will include learning pathways across finance, procurement, human resources, supply chain, and manufacturing, plus 12 months of access to SAP’s online learning platform. SMEs will be able to access ready-to-launch ERP and HCM packages with fixed pricing and scope to reduce implementation complexity and shorten time to value.
