Tech Data is expanding its IBM distribution footprint across Asia Pacific (APAC) to support partner-led growth in six additional markets — Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
This brings the TD Synnex company’s specialised IBM practice to 10 Asia-Pacific and Japan markets. The distributor already operates its IBM practice in Australia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam, while using the Tec D brand in Malaysia.
“Together, we are creating greater access to IBM technologies, expertise, and support for partners across ten APJ markets, enabling them to capture new growth opportunities and deliver greater value to their ecosystem and customers,” said Jaideep Malhotra (top), President of TD Synnex APJ.
The expanded distribution network will also give more partners access to Select Blue, a TD Synnex initiative developed with IBM. The programme is designed to help partners move from opportunity identification to execution, with a focus on areas such as AI, data and automation.
“With this expansion, we are extending our reach into additional markets while connecting with a broader set of partners looking to grow their IBM business,” said Mark Martin, Vice President of Global Vendor Management at TD Synnex, who added that Select Blue provides a clear path to engage, specialise and execute confidently, helping both new and existing partners enter new markets and accelerate revenue growth.
Tech Data will support partners through enablement, financing, pre-sales assistance, and go-to-market execution. That implementation would follow a globally consistent framework supported by local execution, scalable processes and performance accountability.
