Proofpoint is establishing an AI Security Engineering Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, India with plans to hire more than 200 engineers over the next 12 to 24 months.
The centre will work on AI security technologies and the company’s AI security roadmap, including capabilities from its Acuvity acquisition covering AI governance, runtime protection and security for AI applications, copilots and autonomous agents.
The human and agent cybersecurity company is also opening a new office in Delhi and expanding its investment in sales, customer success, technical support, and its partner ecosystem. It has more than 550 extended team members at its Pune Centre of Excellence, supporting global engineering, product development, customer support and technical services.
