Huawei Cloud has launched in Singapore its CodeArts Agent engineering-grade AI-powered coding solution for local developers and enterprises.
Announced at Huawei Cloud AI Boost Day Singapore, CodeArts Agent is built for complex, large-scale software projects and enterprise-grade scenarios, and supports code generation, software development Q&A, and automated unit test generation.
It features 16 specialised agents that cover the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture design to coding, testing, issue resolution, and code review, emulating the collaborative workflow of a professional engineering team to autonomously plan and execute complex, long-duration development tasks.
Incorporating specification-driven development capabilities and more than 30 reusable engineering skills derived from Huawei’s proven practices, the platform translates these engineering practices into AI agent capabilities.
With the ability to understand and retrieve code across tens of millions of lines, the agent gives project-level context needed to efficiently extend and update existing software systems. To support diverse development environments, it provides a range of access options, including AI-native IDEs, plugins, and CLI/TUI interfaces, along with enterprise-grade management and security capabilities for seamless workflow integration.
“Singapore is at the forefront of global AI adoption and is entering a new phase of large-scale deployment, mainstream adoption and value-driven development,” said Tim Tao, President of Huawei Cloud Solution Sales. “Huawei Cloud will continue to deepen its presence in Singapore, advancing our Agentic AI strategy through closer integration of software and hardware, while building a comprehensive technology stack spanning AIDC, Agentic Infrastructure, Model as a Service (MaaS), and agent development platforms.”
