Honor has launched in Singapore its X9e Pro that is built for durability and dependable everyday performance. Most of the upgrades on the new smartphone centre on two things – battery life and toughness.
The phone packs an incredible 11,000mAh battery, which Honor claims is the largest in the industry. A significant jump from the 8,300mAh cell in the previous X9d, the new battery supports up to 66.8 hours of video playback, or up to three days on a single charge under typical use. This translate to more usage in a single charge for users with long commutes or busy days out.
Yet, the X9e Pro stays slim, measuring just 8.08mm thick and weighing a mere 203g. Top-up speeds rise too with 80W wired Honor SuperCharge replacing the 66W charge on its predecessor. A new 27W wired reverse charge lets users power compatible phones and devices by cable. The battery is claimed to stay healthy for six years so it should hold up well over the long haul.
Durability is the other big benefit. The X9e Pro is said to be able to survive drops of up to three metres and holds an SGS five-star certification for drop resistance in harsh conditions. Water is no problem either. Its IP68 rating certifies that the phone can handle depths of up to 10 metres and the IP69K rating means the device can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The touchscreen even responds to wet or gloved hands, a real plus for those who work outdoors.
X9e Pro’s 10,000-nit display also ensures users can view it clearly even in bright sunlight. Camera-wise, the phone’s 108MP camera comes with CIPA 6.0 flagship stabilisation to keep shots steady. NFC access and dual speakers round out the package.
Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 6 Series processor with Honor’s Hummingbird Architecture. The phone should deliver smooth performance for up to 72 months. That is six years of use, in line with its battery health claim.
The X9e Pro comes in four colours – dawn gold, reddish brown, royal purple and midnight black. Priced at S$529 (128GB), S$659 (256GB) and S$829 (512GB), each unit comes with Honor Protection Care, which includes a 730-day warranty, plus 365 days of cover for liquid damage and cracks on the front and back.
