Vietjet will offer free, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi on 120 aircraft under a strategic partnership with SpaceX.
The initial rollout will cover 100 Airbus A321 and Boeing 737 aircraft, as well as 20 Airbus A330 aircraft. Vietjet also plans to equip all future aircraft deliveries with inflight internet.
The service will be available across Vietjet’s fleet, including routes linking Singapore with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and Nha Trang.
Starlink’s low-latency satellite connectivity provides coverage over oceans, polar regions and remote areas. Vietjet passengers will be able to work, stream entertainment, access online content, and stay in touch throughout their journeys.
“With Starlink, time in the air no longer has to mean time offline. Vietjet passengers will be able to stay connected throughout their journey—whether working, staying entertained, or keeping in touch with family and friends,” said Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet.
The partnership with Starlink is intended to make high-speed inflight connectivity an everyday service rather than a premium amenity.
