SoftwareOne has integrated Crayon’s channel business across Asia-Pacific under the SoftwareOne brand.
The move creates a single regional channel organisation for technology partners. It combines SoftwareOne’s global scale, vendor ecosystem and expertise in software, cloud and IT portfolio management with Crayon’s regional channel relationships and capabilities in cloud, software, data, and AI.
Partners will retain ownership of their customer relationships while gaining access to a wider pool of specialists, including solution architects, security and vendor experts, bid support, and technical resources across cloud, security, AI and productivity.
According to Varun Paliwal (top), President of APAC at SoftwareOne, this is an important step in bringing together two strong channel businesses with complementary strengths.
“By bringing those strengths together, we can offer partners a greater breadth of services and opportunities while retaining the local expertise and relationships that make the channel successful,” he said.
The combined model is intended to complement, rather than compete with, partners’ businesses. It can deliver services under a partner’s brand or collaborate on larger, more complex engagements.
Regional context
“APAC is a region where local context matters. Partners need access to global technology and expertise, but they also need people who understand their market, their customers, and the way they operate,” Paliwal added.
SoftwareOne operates in more than 70 countries with about 12,000 employees and access to more than 7,500 software vendors through its global marketplace.
Its Partner Connections programme links resellers with specialist delivery partners, while its ISV Innovation Hub helps partners commercialise intellectual property through vendor marketplaces and incentives.
Partners will also continue to receive support through market insight, vendor programme guidance, certifications, and practice development.
SoftwareOne’s Cloud-iQ platform remains available to help manage cloud and software subscriptions, automated billing, usage intelligence, and business insights.
