The invite-only social media app Clubhouse will be rolling out its Android app globally this week — starting from Japan tomorrow.
Launched on iOS in 2020, Clubhouse had gained popularity on the back of its exclusivity and high profile users. The startup is now valued at around US$4 billion.
It began working on an Android version early this year and started beta testing earlier this month.
The app will continue to reamin invite-only, just like what Google did initially with Gmail, to manage growth and give the Clubhouse team time to refine and add features.
