WhatsApp is removing a major barrier for switching from Android to iOS. Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a Facebook post that the messaging platform is adding a new feature that allows secure migration from one OS to another.
The new feature lets smartphone users transfer chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone — without having to jump over several hurdles.
“This is a top requested feature,” wrote Zuckerberg, whose post received more than 243,000 likes and loves in just 12 hours.
The move follows a similar feature that enables easy iPhone to Android migration last year.
