Canva has transformed Grow from a design platform into a one-stop tool for creating, launching and optimising ads across major social channels.
Grow 2.0 is built to help users make ads, publish them to Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, and track results without leaving the platform.
It is packed with AI-driven features such as ad generation, campaign reporting and automatic tagging of ad elements to identify performance factors. This is a boon for small businesses, freelancers and lean marketing teams that want to run campaigns without relying on an agency.
“With Canva Grow 2.0, businesses can go from generating engaging ads to publishing them across multiple platforms, seeing what’s working, and automatically refreshing creative based on what’s actually driving results,” said George Howes, Head of Canva Grow at Canva, who added, “It’s about bringing creation, distribution and optimisation together in one seamless flow, so every campaign is smarter and more effective than the last.”
The launch extends Canva beyond design into marketing automation, which places it in competition against software companies, such as Adobe, that already span creative and ad operations.
Canva’s edge is simplicity. It puts creative, publishing and optimisation into a single product aimed at non-specialist users. On the other hand, Adobe’s edge is depth. It offers more sophisticated ad buying, segmentation, analytics, and enterprise integrations, but that also makes it more complex to deploy.
In practical terms, Canva Grow 2.0 looks like a fast, lightweight option for small enterprises, while Adobe is the heavier-duty platform for teams that need advanced controls and cross-channel orchestration.
