The advent of generative AI has brought coding to the masses. At the opening keynote address of Computex, NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang pointed out that everyone can be a programmer now. Not just trained programmers, but everyone.
With just a few choice words, users can get the likes of Chat GPT to create email, write articles and summarise stories among many uses. But, that’s not all. What generative AI can do is left to the imagination. During his presentation, Huang demonstrated how the technology can turn words into songs — he even got the 3,500-strong audience in the packed hall in Nangang Exhibition Center to sing along.
Powering generative AI are a slew of NVIDIA technologies with Huang revealing several new ones.
He announced the NVIDIA Grace Hopper superchips that are designed for accelerated generative AI have entered full production with more than 440 systems configurations from NVIDIA partners.
He also revealed the DGX GH200 AI supercomputer that connects 256 Grace Hopper superchips into a massive, one-exaflop, 144TB GPU that can power generative AI and recommender systems.
In addition, NVIDIA has launched the Spectrum-X networking platform that combines NVIDIA Spectrum-4, BlueField-3 DPUs and acceleration software to scale out generative AI services.
WPP harnesses NVIDIA Omniverse and AI
NVIDIA is teaming up with WPP to develop a content engine that harnesses NVIDIA Omniverse and AI to enable creative teams to produce high-quality commercial content faster, more efficiently and at scale while staying fully aligned with a client’s brand.
The new engine connects an ecosystem of 3D design, manufacturing and creative supply chain tools, including those from Adobe and Getty Images, letting WPP’s artists and designers integrate 3D content creation with generative AI. This enables their clients to reach consumers in highly personalised and engaging ways, while preserving the quality, accuracy and fidelity of their company’s brand identity, products and logos.
“Generative AI is changing the world of marketing at incredible speed. Our partnership with NVIDIA gives WPP a unique competitive advantage through an AI solution that is available to clients nowhere else in the market today. This new technology will transform the way that brands create content for commercial use, and cements WPP’s position as the industry leader in the creative application of AI for the world’s top brands,” said Mark Read, CEO of WPP.
“The world’s industries, including the US$700 billion digital advertising industry, are racing to realise the benefits of AI. With Omniverse Cloud and generative AI tools, WPP is giving brands the ability to build and deploy product experiences and compelling content at a level of realism and scale never possible before,” said Huang.
