WhatsApp has added a new feature — video messages that lets users record and share short videos instantly in the chat.
With the ability to record up to 60-second clips, users can respond in real-time to chats in a more visual way. Share fun moments, birthday greetings, jokes, or even a quick overview of the travel destination.
The feature works the same way as a voice message — just tap and switch to video mode and hold to record the video. For added convenience, swipe to locl for hand-free recording.
Videos will be automatically muted when opened in a chat. Tap on the clip to start the sound. Video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption to keep messages secure.
The new video messages feature has begun rolling out and will be available to all in the coming weeks.
