Baidu is availing its Ernie Bot generative AI product and large language model for the general public. Users can download Ernie Bot from various app stores or experience it at https://yiyan.baidu.com.
On top of Ernie Bot, Baidu will launch a suite of new AI-native apps that allow users to fully experience generative AI’s four core abilities — understanding, generation, reasoning, and memory.
“By making ErnieE Bot available to hundreds of millions of Internet users, Baidu will collect massive valuable real-world human feedback. This will not only help improve Baidu’s foundation model but also iterate ErnieE Bot on a much faster pace, ultimately leading to a superior user experience,” said Robin Li, Co-founder and CEO of Baidu.
First announced on March 16, 2023 following the generative AI craze started by Chat GPT, Ernie Bot builds upon Baidu’s Ernie foundation model, which has consistently ranked first in more than 10 authoritative evaluations both domestically and internationally.
