Taiwan’s National Chi Nan University (NCNU) has implemented Juniper Networks’ AI-driven wireless solution to provide a seamless wireless network experience across its campus.
With an enrollment of 6,500 students and more than 700-member faculty, NCNU is one of Taiwan’s 13 academic research centres supporting the Ministry of Education in crucial studies.
Beyond its contribution to national research programmes, the university aims to cultivate a digitally-led campus, particularly enhancing hybrid learning experiences for its Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) students.
The post-pandemic shift in learning styles has amplified EMBA students’ expectations for uninterrupted access to online classes and digital resources. Adapting to this demand for flexible, disruption-free lectures in both virtual and in-person formats required a smarter, more robust high-speed wireless network.
“Juniper’s AI-driven solutions have allowed us to do just that through undisrupted connectivity and ease of automation. Not only are we able to enhance the overall educational experience for our EMBA students, but we are also now one step closer to fulfilling our vision of becoming an AI-integrated campus,” said Dr Hsiao Guisen, CTO of NCNU.
The adoption of Juniper AP43 Wireless Access Points in tandem with Juniper Mist Cloud has significantly optimised network performance across EMBA classes, augmenting the learning experience.
The integration of Juniper’s AI-powered solutions, including Mist Wi-Fi Assurance and Marvis Virtual Network Assistant, empowers NCNU to proactively monitor and swiftly resolve network issues. This has reduced dependence on manual intervention, freeing the university’s IT team to focus on strategic initiatives. Consequently, applications are more responsive, and the network adapts seamlessly to unexpected usage surges.
Since the implementation of Juniper’s AI-driven solutions, NCNU has observed zero Wi-Fi trouble tickets, markedly enhancing the educational experience for all students.
