Baidu’s Apollo Go available 24/7 in Wuhan

Baidu is now offering its Apollo Go autonomous ride-hailing service round-the-clock in selected areas of Wuhan.

This extended service provides those in the Chineses city with nighttime travel need a safer and more convenient way to get to their destination.

Apollo Go currently operates a fleet of 300 fully driverless vehicles in Wuhan, one of the world’s leading cities in implementing intelligent transportation. By the end of 2023, the total test mileage run by autonomous vehicles in the city exceeded 3,378.73 kilometres, covering an area of about 3,000 square kilometres and a population of more than 7.7 million.

Apollo Go has completed more than five million cumulative rides as of January 2024.

Baidu and Apollo Go aim to bring fully autonomous ride hailing services to an even wider range of locations and users. Apollo Go currently offers robotaxi services in more than 10 cities in China, including being the first to provide fully driverless robotaxi service in cities such as Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Chongqing.
