The 2024 ROG Phone 8 Pro series is now available in Singapore from S$1,599.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro gaming smartphone sports a 15 percent slimmer, lighter body and thinner bezel compared to the previous model, as well as the Anime Vision Mini-LED display for users to customise to their liking.
Inside are the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, super-fast 8533 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The Rapid-Cooling Conductor design draws heat away from the processor to cool the device during gaming. The AeroActive Cooler X clip-on accessory is smaller and more efficient, reducing the phone’s temperature by as much as 26°C.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro comes with an advanced tri-camera system — a 50MP main camera with 24mm wide-angle lens and a 2x zoom mode. For smoother photography and videography on the move, there’s the 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0. Video stability is assured with hardware anti-shake OIS and an upgraded EIS software algorithm that uses gyroscopic data to detect movement. This dynamic adjustment of the field of view ensures videos remain rock steady.
A 3x telephoto lens with built-in OIS enables long distance shots, delivering crisp and sharp results, even in low-light conditions with Night Photography mode.
The 13MP ultrawide camera has a free-form lens and algorithms to reduce lens distortion for stunning yet natural images.
The front 32 MP ultrawide camera’s field of view has been increased from 73 to 90 degress to make it more conducive for group selfies.
Four gaming-friendly AI features are Background Mode for easy switching to the background; X Capture to capture important moments; AI Grabber for text capture; and X Sense 2.0 that provides tips and assistance during gameplay.
