Rackspace installs GTM leader for SEA

Rackspace Technology has named Ramesh Babu as its Public Cloud Go-To Market (GTM) Leader for Southeast Asia (SEA) to support the rapidly growing business in the region.

Based in Singapore, Ramesh has more than 30 years of experience in business development and sales. He will oversee Rackspace Technology’s efforts to be SEA’s trusted cloud partner with a focus on managed services, data, infrastructure, and security, working closely with businesses from across diverse verticals and hyperscalers.

Before joining Rackspace, Ramesh was the Vice President for Global Accounts at Check Point Software Technologies where he was instrumental in improving market share for the global and MNC segment. He also held multiple roles in Accedian and Cisco in Singapore.

“His track record of driving market share, as well as increasing revenue and profitability is a testament to his skillsets, and we’re excited about the prospect of helping more Southeast Asian businesses transform IT from a cost centre to a value creator,” said Martin Dubé, Vice President, Public Cloud Asia Pacific & Japan at Rackspace Technology.

“Rackspace Technology’s rich cybersecurity offering encompasses holistic user protection – whether on-premises or in hybrid and multi-cloud environments – and I am excited to play this role of empowering organisations in Southeast Asia to innovate securely with scale and agility,” said Babu.
