StarHub is collaborating with Global Switch introduce Low Latency Data Centre Connect in Singapore.
Enabled by StarHub’s Cloud Infinity hybrid multi-cloud platform, this collaboration will see the deployment of Low Latency Data Centre Connect network, providing ultra-low-latency connectivity to Global Switch Singapore’s Woodlands and Tai Seng data centres.
Through this network, Global Switch customers in Singapore will have secure on-demand access to a global network of key data centre ecosystems and submarine cable points of presence.
“With Low Latency Data Centre Connect, we aim to offer a purpose-built fibre network with minimal hops and latest state-of-the-art optical technology, supporting mission-critical application sensitive workloads to address customers’ latency-sensitive business needs,” said Tan Kit Yong (top right), Head of Enterprise Business Group at StarHub.
The state-of-the-art data centres feature an advanced fibre network that is fully diverse, ensuring maximum reliability through multiple paths. It is also equipped with software-defined network capabilities to rapidly scale and meet the expanding bandwidth requirements of demanding over-the-top and cloud data services and applications. The network is quantum encryption-ready, providing robust security against advanced cyber-attacks.
“Virtually all ISPs, content delivery and hyperscalers are hosted at our two data centres in Singapore. Having Low Latency Datacentre Connect at our sites will enable all other data centres and cable landing stations in Singapore to connect to Global Switch Singapore for access to content and interconnections,” said Terence Teo (top left), Managing Director of Global Switch Singapore.
