Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) and Google Cloud have linked up to accelerate Indosat’s transformation into an AI Native TechCo that delivers exceptional AI-powered experiences to more than100 million Indosat customers and businesses across Indonesia.

By combining Indosat’s data assets with Google Cloud’s AI capabilities, the alliance aims to create AI and generative AI solutions for the Indonesian market, which will benefit from:

  • Enhanced customer service: AI-driven contact centre tools to help Indosat staff quickly resolve customer queries through live transcription, recommended responses, and sentiment analysis. Conversational AI agents will also provide 24/7 self-service options across digital channels.
  • Personalised marketing: Creative AI to generate personalised content and offers based on customer profiles and needs, identifying high-value leads and engaging users across channels.
  • Data driven decision-making: Custom machine learning models to empower organisations to make informed decisions on site selection, asset management, disaster mitigation strategies, and bridging the digital divide in remote areas.
  • Optimised operations: Self-optimising AI systems to reduce energy consumption, predict maintenance needs, reroute network traffic during faults, and accelerate software development through AI coding assistants.
  • Improved productivity: AI-powered enterprise search to allow employees to instantly access relevant information from vast data sources, accelerating decision-making across multiple teams, including HR, legal and finance.

The partnership will also provide Indonesian enterprises, SMEs, startups, and public sector with access to these AI solutions and Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure.

“Our collaboration with Google Cloud is not just a pivotal milestone for Indosat, but also a significant stride in our mission to transform into an AI Native TechCo. Together, we will harness the full potential of cloud and AI to drive innovation, create new opportunities, and propel Indonesia’s digital economy forward,” said Vikram Sinha, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

“These initiatives will not only demonstrate the transformative power of AI in telecommunications, but also serve as a blueprint for other sectors seeking to harness this technology to drive growth and nationwide impact,” said Karan Bajwa, Vice President of Asia Pacific at Google Cloud.
