Princeton Digital Group (PDG), has acquired Yahoo’s SG3 data centre in Singapore.
Yahoo will continue to host the infrastructure and PDG will invest further to run the data centre as a third-party operator.
The site expands PDG’s footprint in Singapore and enhances its SG+ strategy which encompasses having data centre campuses in Singapore, Batam and Johor. In July, PDG of its 150MW JH1 data centre campus in Johor. It now mow has more than 20 data centres and 1 Gigawatt (GW) capacity.
“Along with a strategic asset, we gain an important customer in Yahoo and additional capacity to serve PDG’s customers. Through this acquisition, we continue to be in alignment with Singapore’s strategy of unlocking additional data centre capacity by driving greater energy efficiency at existing data centres,” said Rangu Salgame, Chairman, CEO and Co-founder of PDG.
