ServiceNow has introduced the Now Platform Xanadu that comes packed with hundreds of new AI capabilities designed to enhance customer agility, boost productivity, and improve employee experiences across various enterprise functions.
Xanadu expands ServiceNow’s Now Assist generative AI (GenAI) portfolio to critical areas such as security operations, and sourcing and procurement operations.
The platform features Now Assist for security operations (SecOps), which aims to accelerate security incident response workflows and manage threat exposure in real-time. This tool enables SecOps teams to prioritise and respond to security events more efficiently, potentially reducing response times for critical threats.
Now Assist for sourcing and procurement operations simplify procurement processes, improve compliance and provide better control over enterprise spending. Employees can now initiate procurement requests through conversational prompts, eliminating the need to navigate complex systems.
The Now Assist skill kit feature allows partners and customers to create custom GenAI skills tailored to their specific business needs. This pro-code experience offers flexibility in building, testing, and deploying new GenAI skills, with options to use Now LLMs or incorporate third-party or custom LLMs.
Other notable innovations include data visualisation generation, chat and email reply generation, change summarisation, and LLM-based proactive prompts. These features are designed to enhance IT productivity, simplify complexities, and facilitate easier internal collaboration.
ServiceNow’s partnership with Microsoft has also borne fruit, with the Now Assist integration with Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 now generally available. With this integration, employees can seamlessly transition between Copilot and Now Assist in Microsoft Teams for various self-service tasks.
“Our customers are hungry to put AI to work now and they want more from their GenAI deployments — more productivity, more personalisation, more value. The Xanadu release marks a significant step forward for our GenAI roadmap, empowering enterprises to quickly harness the potential of GenAI and drive unprecedented business outcomes without hassle,” said Jon Sigler, Senior Vice President of Platform and AI at ServiceNow.
