RMIT University is collaborating with Accenture, ANZ, L’Oréal, and Salesforce on a new Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2025.
The new undergraduate programme aims to cultivate leadership skills and prepare students for roles in industry, government and public sectors.
It is designed to provide students with industry experience, expert knowledge, and analytical skills crucial for making a substantial impact in organisations upon graduation.
Building on its successful tech-focused business and law education offerings, RMIT’s latest initiative has already garnered significant interest from prospective students.
“The business world is continually reshaped by digital disruption, and future-thinking leaders capable of designing contemporary solutions are in high demand,” said Professor Colin Picker, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Business and Law and Vice-President of RMIT.
The Bachelor of Commerce is designed as a highly specialised programme, leveraging RMIT’s strong performance in finance management, information systems, marketing, and digital economies. It caters to business students with clear career paths who wish to develop a core understanding of the economy.
Industry Collaboration
The partnership with leading companies ensures that students will have access to cutting-edge technology, business theories and market trends.
“By integrating cutting-edge enterprise AI and business analytics technology, along with our leadership expertise, we are helping shape the next generation of industry leaders ready to drive data-driven decision making and innovation,” said Tara Ridley, Vice-President of APAC Alliances and Channels at Salesforce.
“This new degree aims to equip tomorrow’s graduates with not only an understanding of business outcomes but also the knowledge of how technology can enable and accelerate value across various services and offerings,” said Justin Stark, Managing Director of Data at Accenture.
