Epson unveils high-speed label printer for industrial use

Epson has launched the ColorWorks CW-C8050 high-volume batch printing solution designed to meet the demanding needs of logistics, manufacturing, and packaging industries in Southeast Asia.

Building upon the success of the CW-C7510/G, the new model offers significant advancements tailored to the region’s evolving industrial requirements.

It comes with impressive features such as high-speed printing of up to 11.8 inches per second and advanced PrecisionCore heat-free technology. the printer utilises UltraChrome DL pigment inks to produce smudge and fade-resistant labels.

The CW-C8050 offers flexibility to print on various media types, such as matte and gloss paper, film, and synthetic materials, supporting print widths from one to four inches. An adjustable platen gap allows for printing on thicker media up to 0.6mm.

To ensure precise colour matching, the CW-C8050 incorporates spot colour management and ICC profiling functions. It also features nozzle verification technology and dot substitution to prevent misprints and dead pixels. The printer’s high-yield ink packs provide a total ink capacity of 1.9 litres, reducing the frequency of replacements.

Connectivity options are abundant, with USB 3.0, high-speed Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi available. The CW-C8050 is compatible with legacy systems and popular middleware, integrating seamlessly with Epson Cloud Solution PORT for remote monitoring and management.
