ResetData launches Australia’s first sovereign AI factory

ResetData has launched Australia’s first sovereign public AI-Factory (AI-F1) and an AI Marketplace.

Targeted to commence operations in Q2, this facility in Melbourne’s Central Business District will provide access to advanced AI capabilities for businesses and government entities across the nation. Such capabilities were previously limited to a few private enterprises, universities and government clusters. The AI-F1 supercomputer features high-density NVIDIA H200 GPU clusters.

“Our AI factories will transform the competitive landscape for Australian businesses. Access to this technology was previously limited to a small number of private GPU clusters. Our AI factory rollout opens up access to AI to accelerate Australia’s economic growth,” said Bass Salah (top, second from left), Joint CEO of ResetData.

AI-F1 will operate with 40 percent lower costs and 45 percent fewer emissions compared to traditional data centres, while producing zero wastewater. This efficiency is substantial as data centres currently consume about five percent of Australia’s power supply.

Complementing the AI-F1 is ResetData’s AI Marketplace, which will offer live NVIDIA-certified AI models for immediate deployment across various sectors, including accounting, legal, retail, technology, and engineering. The platform aims to provide instant access to enterprise-grade AI capabilities without the need for significant capital investment.

“ResetData’s supercomputer-scale AI factories and AI marketplace are making unprecedented sovereign AI capabilities available to the Australian government and enterprises,” said Sudarshan Ramachandran, Country Manager of Enterprise in ANZ at NVIDIA.

The introduction of AI-F1 and AI Marketplace comes at a critical juncture as Australia seeks to scale up its GPU cluster deployments for AI applications. ResetData anticipates potential expansion, with plans for additional AI factories that could offer 10 times the cooling efficiency and require only 1/10 of the floorspace of legacy data centres.
