Singapore’s NCS and the Philippines’ Globe Telecom have teamed up to acquire a 51 percent in Yondu.
The transaction values Yondu at PHP 1.87 billion (aboutS$44 million), with NCS paying a net consideration of PHP 134 million (about S$3 million) funded through internal resources.
The partnership marks a significant expansion for NCS in the Philippines, increasing its workforce from from 150 to more than 1,200 professionals. The team will enhance its Global Delivery Network and provide expanded access to digital, cloud, data and artificial intelligence (AI) services for regional and global clients.
Yondu, which is Globe’s IT arm, will be renamed NCS Philippines following the deal’s closure, pending regulatory approvals.
“Globe and Yondu’s deep country expertise, coupled with NCS’ technology capabilities, will increase our capacity to further drive business transformation and innovation, especially in the telecommunications sector,” said Ng Kuo Pin, CEO of NCS.
“Partnering with NCS will unlock new global opportunities, enabling Yondu to expand its reach and deliver more impactful IT solutions worldwide,” said Ernest L Cu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Globe.
