Dell Technologies has updated its server, storage and data protection portfolios to accelerate data centre modernisation and meet the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.
These advancements are designed to boost performance, scalability and efficiency while tackling the challenges associated with both traditional and modern workloads.
“From storage to servers to networking to data protection, only Dell Technologies provides an end-to-end disaggregated infrastructure portfolio that helps customers reduce complexity, increase IT agility and accelerate data centre modernisation,” said Arthur Lewis (top), President of Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell.
The new Dell PowerEdge servers sport Intel Xeon 6th Generation processors for demanding workloads such as high-performance computing (HPC), virtualisation, analytics, and AI inferencing.
The PowerEdge R770 model boasts up to 80 percent space savings per rack and a 67 percent performance boost compared to previous generations, while also slashing energy costs by half.
Dell’s PowerStore storage platform has been upgraded with AI-powered analytics and enhanced zero-trust security features to streamline data management and improve backup speeds by up to four times.
Meanwhile, the next generation of Dell ObjectScale delivers twice the throughput for AI workloads, with options for all-flash or hybrid configurations.
PowerScale storage, which features with 122TB solid-state drives, can deliver up to six petabytes of high-speed data access in a single 2U node configuration.
Dell has also updated its PowerProtect data protection solutions. The new PowerProtect DD6410 model offers up to 91 percent faster restores and industry-leading deduplication capabilities, while the All-Flash Ready Node reduces power consumption by 36 percent and shrinks physical footprints by five times.
All the updates are available now or will roll out in the coming months.
