Humain and NVIDIA allies to build AI factories in Saudi Arabia

Humain is partnering with NVIDIA to develop state-of-the-art AI factories in Saudi Arabia.

The initiative aims to power the next wave of intelligence for what is being dubbed the “Age of Reasoning” to position the kingdom as a regional and global hub for AI, cloud computing, digital twins and robotics.

As the AI subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Humain will collaborate with NVIDIA to build advanced AI data centres to foster innovation, drive economic diversification, and create high-value jobs within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

By investing in these AI factories, Saudi Arabia aims to unlock new opportunities in sectors ranging from smart cities and healthcare to industrial automation and public services.

“This lays the groundwork for a new industrial revolution, anchored in advanced infrastructure, talent and global ambition. This is how Saudi Arabia continues to lead as a partner of choice in shaping the future of AI,” said His Excellency Eng Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

“AI, like electricity and internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation. Together with Humain, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realise the bold vision of the Kingdom,” said said Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA.

Rising Trend Across Asia

Saudi Arabia’s ambitions echo a growing trend across Asia, where countries are racing to build their own AI factories to secure digital sovereignty and fuel economic growth.

Japan is also building AI infrastructure powered by NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, networking and software. Supported by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, these AI factories are designed to transform sectors such as automotive, robotics, healthcare, and telecommunications.

In Southeast Asia, Singtel has pioneered the deployment of NVIDIA-powered AI factories, starting with Singapore and expanding to Indonesia and Thailand. These energy-efficient data centres utilise NVIDIA’s latest Hopper architecture GPUs and reference architectures to process sensitive data securely onshore, serving businesses, startups, universities, and governments across the region.

Thailand is collaborating with NVIDIA to build next-generation, AI-powered facilities to serve industries such as finance, e-commerce and gaming

Huawei in China and SenseTime in Hong Kong are investing heavily in AI research and infrastructure. Huawei’s AI strategy is anchored by its Ascend AI chips and a comprehensive ecosystem that supports applications in smart cities, healthcare, and industrial automation.

SenseTime, with one of Asia’s largest AI research teams, continues to drive innovation in computer vision, deep learning and autonomous systems.

The proliferation of AI factories across Asia is driven by both economic and geopolitical imperatives. Governments and enterprises view AI as essential for enhancing competitiveness, optimising public services, and securing technological independence.

With local AI infrastructure, Asian nations are positioning themselves at the forefront of the global digital economy to ensure control over critical data and fostering homegrown innovation.
