Boomi has announced the availability of its Boomi Data Integration platform from an Australian data centre.
The Sydney-based deployment empowers Australian enterprises to move data quicker and securely, ensuring sensitive information remains within national borders and meets stringent regulatory requirements.
The expansion follows Boomi’s acquisition of modern data integration provider Rivery. With the Australian instance now live, local enterprises can leverage advanced features such as log-based change data capture (CDC) and near-real-time extract, load and transform (ELT) pipelines. These enhancements help minimise latency and maximise alignment with Australian data sovereignty laws.
By maintaining data within the country’s borders, highly regulated industries such as financial services, government, education, and healthcare can better comply with frameworks such as the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), APRA CPS 234, and the My Health Records Act.
“With local deployment of Boomi Data Integration, we’re removing any compliance barriers to AI-related to data sovereignty, while giving our partners and end-users the near-real-time data capabilities they need to innovate,” said David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer of Asia Pacific and Japan at Boomi.
