Shingda Group has simplified and enhanced network operations through the deployment of the Nebula cloud management platform powered by Zyxel Networks.
Faced with the challenge of maintaining consistent network connectivity and management efficiency across multiple remote construction sites with limited on-site IT resources, the Singapore-based civil engineering and construction firm has adopted a hub-and-spoke VPN architecture.
All remote sites are seamlessly connected to the headquarters using Zyxel’s GS1920 Series smart managed switches with PoE, WiFi 6 access points such as the WAX510D for high-density coverage, and ATP Series next-generation firewalls working alongside branch security devices such as the ATP200, SCR50AXE, and USG20-VPN.
Devices and sites are managed centrally via Nebula’s cloud platform, which offers full network visibility, automatic topology mapping and consolidated real-time monitoring.
With centralised network management, Shingda Group’s operations has experienced a 60 percent increase in network management efficiency. The IT team no longer relies on manual spreadsheets for IP address and credential tracking, and troubleshooting plus network configuration processes are up to 70 percent faster, saving time and effort.
The unified cloud dashboard simplifies diagnosing and resolving issues without toggling between multiple device interfaces. Network performance has also improved with reliable WiFi coverage and smooth connectivity transitions across sites, ensuring uninterrupted operations on the ground.
“We needed a solution that would keep our sites connected, secure and easy to manage. With Zyxel Networks’ equipment powering our network, we can quickly diagnose and resolve issues through a single, unified dashboard,” said Joshua Pek, IT Manager of Shingda Group.
By leveraging Zyxel’s secure, cloud-powered networking solutions, Shingda Group has built a smarter and safer network infrastructure that supports its distributed workforce and enhances operational productivity.
