Krungsri unlocks banking innovations with Informatica

Thailand’s Krungsri Bank is embarking on a digital transformation journey by partnering with Informatica to strengthen its data governance as it pivots toward becoming a leading AI-driven digital bank.

It will leverage Informatica’s AI-powered Cloud Data Governance and Catalog and Cloud Data Quality to manage data quality, security, privacy and regulatory compliance across an extensive customer base of more than 19 million people in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Also known as Bank of Ayudhya, Krungsri had faced challenges with fragmented data systems across its business units. By adopting Informatica’s solutions and transitioning to a hybrid cloud setup with Amazon Web Services, it is establishing a robust and scalable framework for data discovery, metadata management and improved data quality, which are crucial for its continued innovation and customer service enhancement.

AI-powered governance

Implementing Informatica’s AI-driven data tools will enable the bank to automate tasks such as data lineage tracking and anomaly detection, which boosts operational efficiency and strengthens overall data integrity.

“With a scalable and robust governance framework for our cloud-enabled, secure technology infrastructure, we are helping ensure regulatory compliance and boost operational efficiency to drive customer-centric innovation and high-quality customer service,” said Tul Roteseree, Head of Enterprise Data and Analytics Group at Krungsri.

By focusing on advanced data governance, Krungsri is not only navigating regulatory demands but also creating a foundation for ongoing, customer-centric innovation.
