Poco joins premium party with F8 series

Poco has entered the premium flagship smartphone segment with the global launch of the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro in Bali.

The F8 Ultra is engineered for those who looking for a balance of top performance, design and innovation. It debuts a dual-chipset system featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and VisionBoost D8 processors to push performance benchmarks with an AnTuTu score claimed to surpass 3.9 million.

Its architecture ensures lightning-fast responsiveness and efficiency. In collaboration with Bose, Poco is introducing a premium 2.1-channel triple-speaker system under the “Sound by Bose” label for audiophile-grade sound quality uncommon in smartphones.

Gaming is another strong point, thanks to the advanced LiquidCool dual-layer IceLoop system and WildBoost software that provide consistent frame rates and efficiency.

The F8 Ultra’s HyperRGB display achieves 2K-level clarity while consuming nearly 20 percent less power, further complemented by a professional-grade camera system with a 50MP 5x periscope lens and a large Light Fusion 950 sensor for enhanced optics and low-light performance.

Its 6500mAh battery supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, while Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and the Gemini-powered AI Agent integrate next-generation smart features.

The F8 Pro extends many of these flagship-level features to a broader audience. It offers the same HyperRGB display and Bose-partnered audio system, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform.

With a robust 6210mAh battery and efficient 3D IceLoop cooling, it ensures smooth performance across demanding tasks. The inclusion of a 50MP telephoto lens (2.5x optical zoom) marks an important enhancement for the Pro lineup, signaling a more balanced flagship proposition for daily users.

Pricing and availability

In terms of pricing, the F8 Ultra retails at S$949 (12GB+256GB) with an early bird offer of S$899 until December 18, 2025, while the F8 Pro starts at S$699 (12GB+256GB) and S$659 during the early bird period.

These sub-S$1,000 prices compare favourably against flagship devices from brands such as Samsung, Apple, and Huawei. The new Poco devices deliver many of the same top-tier features at a lower price.
