StarHub and NeutraDC partner on quantum-safe Singapore-Indonesia links

StarHub and NeutraDC, the data centre arm of Telkom Indonesia, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to deliver quantum-safe, low-latency connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia.

The agreement will see StarHub and NeutraDC collaborate on quantum-safe connectivity solutions, including quantum-resistant encryption, post-quantum cryptography and next-generation secure network infrastructure for enterprises across Southeast Asia.

It combines StarHub’s Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution with NeutraDC’s carrier-neutral data centre ecosystem, which already serves enterprise and hyperscale customers in Indonesia and Singapore.

Under the MOU, StarHub will establish a point of presence (PoP) at NeutraDC SNG-3 in Singapore to plug its Low-Latency Data Centre Connect service directly into NeutraDC’s infrastructure. This will give customers low-latency interconnectivity between data centres, cloud platforms and mission-critical applications.

The collaboration focuses on enabling quantum-encrypted connectivity to address emerging security threats and the eventual obsolescence of current encryption standards.

Through the NeutraDC SNG-3 PoP, enterprises will benefit from direct connectivity to cable landing stations over a complete data centre–CLS–subsea cable route, software-defined networking features such as network slicing and bandwidth on demand, quantum-safe encryption based on post-quantum cryptography, and automated service orchestration for faster provisioning.

“Through this collaboration with NeutraDC, we’re making it simpler for businesses to move, protect and scale their data, helping them unlock real performance advantages and accelerate their digital transformation across the region,” said Tan Kit Yong (top right), Chief of Regional Enterprise at StarHub.

By tapping NeutraDC’s presence in Singapore, Batam and major Indonesian cities, the companies aim to offer enterprises low-latency, quantum-secure and cloud-ready interconnection to underpin next-generation digital and AI workloads in the region.

“Quantum secure connectivity represents the new frontier of security, overcoming the limitations of current encryption standards. This will empower our customers to stay ahead of emerging threats and meet evolving business requirements,” said Sendang Praptomo (top left), Chief Executive Officer, NeutraDC Singapore.
