Vivo X300 series ups the ante with smartphone flagship camera

Vivo’s newly-launched X300 and X300 Pro flagship smartphones with a strong focus on advanced imaging and user experience are giving the competition a run for their money.

The X-series is packed with powerful hardware, co-engineered with optics giant Zeiss and the global debut of the new OriginOS, a firm statement of Vivo’s ambition in the premium segment.

It brings several innovations to the table, but three features stand out in positioning it as a top-tier contender:

  1. Ultra-clear imaging system: Both models sport a 200MP sensor that pushes the boundaries of clarity in mobile photography.

The Pro model further enhances this with a dedicated 200MP Zeiss APO Telephoto Camera and the Pro Imaging Chip VS1 for superior speed and noise reduction, delivering high-detail shots even at a distance.
  2. Cinematic video capabilities: The X300 Pro supports 4K 120fps Dolby Vision Video and 4K 120fps 10-bit Log Video on both its main and telephoto cameras. It offers film-quality dynamic range and unmatched flexibility for professional-grade post-production.
  3. Next-generation performance and endurance: Under the hood, the series is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, co-developed with MediaTek and built on TSMC’s N3P process for power efficiency and performance. This is paired with the BlueVolt Battery System (6,510 mAh on the Pro) and 90W FlashCharge so users can enjoy all-day performance and fast charging.

The X300 series enters a crowded and fiercely competitive Singapore flagship market, primarily dominated by Apple and Samsung, with Xiaomi, Honor and Oppo among the contenders.

Positioned as the serious mobile imaging and video creator’s flagship, the series does have an edge in the specialised tools and exceptional clarity that few others can match right out of the box. The X300 (16GB+512GB) is available from S$1,299 while the Pro version (16GB+512GB) starts from S$1,599.
