8×8 acquires Maven Lab

8×8 has acquired Maven Lab, a Singapore-based mobile marketing and enterprise messaging specialist.

The deal integrates Maven Lab’s Moobidesk cloud-based customer engagement and messaging platform with 8×8’s CX platform for scalable omnichannel communications with enhanced regional coverage.

“Maven Lab brings deep experience delivering packaged, outcome-oriented messaging solutions that customers can deploy quickly. Together, we will expand our ability to help APAC organisations run secure, high-volume customer communications across more channels, with expanded regional coverage and support,” said Sylvain Chaperon (top), General Manager of CPaaS at 8×8.

According to Hiew Wee Soon, Co-Founder and CEO of Maven Lab, the move sets a clear direction for a more unified platform that helps enterprises move from sending messages to orchestrating end-to-end customer engagement.

Maven Lab’s platforms power millions of engagements yearly for APAC clients in healthcare, media and transport. Post-acquisition, customers gain better throughput, data protection and support for emerging channels.
