Agibot has launched in Malaysia to make embodied intelligence a core pillar of industrial and urban transformation in Asia.
The launch at i-City, Selangor signifies its intent to anchor its regional ecosystem by working closely with both policymakers and local industry leaders to accelerate adoption of humanoid and embodied robotics.
Founded in 2023, Agibot has emerged as a global leader in humanoid robotics. According to Omdia’s General-Purpose Embodied Intelligent Robot 2026 report, it ranked first worldwide in humanoid robot shipments and market share in 2025, with more than 5,100 units delivered and a 39 percent global share.
“Agibot’s expansion into Malaysia demonstrates our belief that Asia Pacific will play a defining role in advancing embodied AI. Our focus is on creating scalable, intelligent robotics systems that learn and act in real-world environments — a foundation for the next stage of automation across industries,” said Deng Taihua, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Agibot.
Regional testbed
The Malaysian debut also marked the opening of the AI World Experience Centre, the country’s first AI and robotics experience hub developed in partnership with I-Berhad, the master developer of i-City. The centre serves as a live demonstration of how AI-driven automation can reshape urban living, commercial services and public engagement.
Lim Kim Hong, Chairman of I-Berhad, said that the partnership will see Agibot technologies embedded within i-City’s ecosystem, positioning Malaysia as a showcase for AI-integrated urban living.
“By developing the world’s first AI and robotics residential tower as a real-world testbed and commercialisation platform for humanoid robotics, we are accelerating the integration of embodied intelligence into everyday residential life,” he added.
Region-first robotics portfolio
Agibot’s product range spans humanoid, quadruped and industrial embodied robots custom-built for Asia-Pacific markets. These include the Agibot A2 humanoid for interactive environments, the X2 for education and research, and the G2 for adaptive manufacturing scenarios.
By aligning product scalability with diverse regional needs — from Singapore and Malaysia’s advanced urban infrastructure to emerging industrial sectors in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia — AgibotT is positioning itself at the centre of Asia-Pacific’s shift toward automation-driven productivity and AI-empowered growth.
