Keeper Security integrates zero-trust access control with Slack

Keeper Security has introduced a new Slack integration that brings secure, policy-driven access governance directly into the popular workplace collaboration platform.

The integration enables teams to request and approve access to Keeper Vault resources — including credentials, shared folders, service accounts, and protected applications — without leaving Slack.

While users handle approvals within Slack, Keeper remains the system of record for encryption, auditing and compliance to preserve its zero-knowledge architecture. Both the Slack App and Keeper Commander containers are hosted by the customer for full control over data encryption and decryption.

“Slack is where work happens. Keeper is where access is enforced. Keeping those roles separate lets organisations move faster without increasing risk,” said Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security.

Unlike conventional workflow integrations that can blur security boundaries, Keeper’s design maintains a strict separation of duties. Workflow tools such as Slack handle operational requests, while Keeper enforces policies and cryptographic controls to ensure secure, compliant access management.

By embedding access approvals into the existing collaboration environment, enterprises can eliminate insecure channels such as emails or screenshots while maintaining least-privilege access and centralised governance across cloud, hybrid and on-premises systems.

Now available to all Keeper customers, the integration also supports just-in-time access provisioning to grant privileges only when needed and fully logged for audit and compliance.
