Nebius has expanded into the Asia-Pacific region to meet accelerating demand for purpose-built AI infrastructure across some of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
It has appointed industry veteran John Haarer (top) as General Manager of Asia-Pacific and Japan to lead its regional push across key markets including Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and India.
Based in Singapore, Haarer is tasked with accelerating customer acquisition and partnerships as enterprises race to secure high-performance AI compute.
“Asia is one of the world’s most exciting regions for AI, and Nebius is the cloud that is powering the next wave of AI innovation. As we ramp up in Asia, I look forward to helping our partners, customers and local governments across the region navigate their AI bottlenecks and transform the promise of AI into tangible economic value,” said Haarer.
“Over the past year we have taken our first steps into Asian markets, winning our first customers and building the foundations for rapid expansion in the region,” said Marc Boroditsky, Chief Revenue Officer of Nebius.
Nebius is coming into APAC on a hypergrowth trajectory, reporting 479 percent revenue growth in 2025 and a multi‑billion-dollar backlog driven by long-term AI infrastructure deals with major global customers. This momentum, coupled with strong cash reserves and ambitious revenue targets through 2026, gives it the firepower to invest aggressively in AI cloud capacity and go‑to‑market capabilities in the region.
