Grab announces 13 AI-powered experiences at GrabX 2026

Grab has launched 13 AI-powered experiences at its annual GrabX 2026 conference. Held in Jakarta, the event showcased innovations that personalise and streamline services in ride-hailing, food delivery, financial tools, and merchant support, all fueled by advanced AI models tailored for local languages and behaviours.

The new features include AI-driven ride companions that anticipate user needs, such as suggesting optimal pick-up points or entertainment during waits, while food delivery gets smarter with predictive ordering based on past habits and real-time promotions.

For merchants, AI tools now automate inventory predictions and customer engagement, helping small businesses compete more effectively in competitive markets such as Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

With expansions into health services and logistics, the initiatives are aimed at faster resolutions and creating hyper-localised experiences that places Grab as a frontrunner in AI-driven consumer tech amid rapid regional growth.

“We’re in the AI Revolution now, and the ending hasn’t been written yet. Instead of allowing the gap to widen between the tech-savvy and the underserved, we are choosing to use our intelligence layer to bridge it,” said Anthony Tan, Group CEO and Co-founder of Grab.
